Loft in Space
Pooja Textiles has been in the cloth retail business for over two decades – the kinds used to make men’s suits. When they approached us, we – almost right away – knew the road ahead was going to be an interesting one.
The Brief
Since Pooja Textile was to relaunch with a fully renovated shop, it needed a new promise – a fresh approach that would entice consumers. Our job was to come up with a name, brandmark (the logo), in store branding (plus carry bags, facia etc.) and media strategy which included advertising collaterals.
Brainstorming & Conceptualization
To begin with, we knew that unless we created something unique, the brand would be lost in a crowd of many. Therefore, our strategy revolved around creating a fun and quirky brand that would not only sell custom tailored suits, indo-western wear etc., but also address male personality. At the same time, we wanted to create an approachable brand, nothing overtly in nature, but the guy next door blended with old school styling.
In the second phase of brand development, we launched an online campaign (via Facebook) to search for a face that could represent the brand in all its advertising activities. Here’s where we came in contact with Govind, a model from Sydney. And with The Unreal Bride, professional photographer and stylist, we conducted the shoot in our studios.
